Gabi Eye AF is a game changer for me. My eyes are getting worse as I age and this feature is one of the reasons that I upgraded. Try using continuous AF with Eye AF, works great for me. I use back button focus on the af/mf button and I've mapped Eye AF to the AEL setting of the same button.
